In 1972-73, Pilings were sunk. Slab was poured. Building blueprints were open to bidding from construction companies. A bid was accepted and construction began.
In November 1974, the new building is finished, and Commander Wally Hymel, holds the first meeting in the new home in December 1974.
In March 1975, Formal dedication of the new home was held.
In 1980-81, As Commander, Alvin Guillot, Sr., presided over a program to celebrate the release of the 52 hostages. Later on, that flag that was pictured with the other two flags flying over Post 3267 was featured on the cover of the VFW National magazine March 1981.

Outside the VFW Post 3267 there, a New Jersey state flag flies next to a sign announcing: "Hall Rentals-Wedding Parties." Inside the long meeting hall there's no sign of a party. Instead New Jersey police officers sit clustered around folding tables, hunched over laptops, and poring over maps of the northwest corner of New Orleans.
